My Lord, my love, why not let me
Be led by light? In pain, I yearn.
Not that I seek for an escape,
From the risks that I’ll need to take.
All I ask, Lord, is just a ray,
That can set my heart on a way.
In past, You have tempted my soul,
With that passion for You alone.
But now, why Lord? You are silent,
At a moment of this crossroad.
Did I falter in my dealings,
And have tampered with my life’s sketch?
No more I have that peace which once
Kept me moving, despite hardships.
And I’m stuck now, know not what next.
Swinging one way, at times gives hope,
But Lord, how long can I hold that?
Hold me up, Lord. Bring me back home.
All I ask for is just a ray.
If You’re silent, it’s dark, I’m lost.
And I’m left, Lord, with no options.
But love, I know You are faithful.
I’ll wait for Your Word, though late.
