“My Child, I Felt It Too”: Jesus Speaks on Troubles and Trust

My beloved child, I see you in your struggles. I hear the cry of your heart when you ask, “Why me, Lord? Why this tragedy, this pain, this loss?” I know the weight of your questions, for I, too, walked through troubles and tough times in my life on earth. Yet, I did not ask why. Let me share my journey with you, and show you how your own trials are woven into the same tapestry of love and trust that carried me to the cross and beyond. When you feel alone in your suffering, hear me whisper, “My child, I felt it too—but I trusted my Father’s plan.”

My Troubles as a Man

I came into the world not as a king in a palace, but as a helpless baby, born in a stable, surrounded by the smell of hay and the chill of night. My family fled to Egypt to escape Herod’s sword, living as refugees in a strange land. Do you feel displaced or unsafe? I felt it too.

As I grew, I worked with my hands, shaping wood as a carpenter, knowing toil and sweat. I faced rejection—my own townspeople in Nazareth scorned me, ready to throw me off a cliff for speaking God’s truth. Have you felt misunderstood or cast aside by those you love? I felt it too.

I wept for my friend Lazarus, knowing the sting of death’s shadow. I was betrayed by Judas, one I called friend, and abandoned by my disciples in my darkest hour. Have you been hurt by betrayal or loneliness? I felt it too.

And then, the cross. In Gethsemane, my soul was sorrowful unto death, sweating blood as I faced the cup of suffering. I was mocked, scourged, crowned with thorns, and nailed to a cross, my body broken for love of you. Did I feel pain, shame, and despair? Oh, my child, I felt it too.

Yet, in all these trials, I did not ask, “Why me, Father?” I trusted. I prayed, “Not my will, but yours be done” (Luke 22:42). I knew my Father’s love was greater than my pain, and His plan was weaving a story of redemption that would shine through every sorrow.

Your Troubles as My Child

My child, do you feel this way? When sickness strikes, when a loved one is lost, when dreams crumble, or when life feels unfair, do you cry out, “Why me?” I see your heart, and I understand. Your troubles are real, just as mine were. But I invite you to look at them through my eyes.

Your tragedies are not punishments, but part of the mystery of a fallen world, where sin and brokenness cast long shadows. Yet, I have overcome that world (John 16:33). Your suffering is a thread in the tapestry of your life, and I am the weaver. I do not cause your pain, but I allow it, knowing it can shape you into a vessel of my love, if you trust me.

When you lose a job, I am with you, as I was with the poor in Galilee. When illness weakens you, I am your strength, as I carried my cross. When grief breaks your heart, I am near, as I wept at Lazarus’ tomb. Your troubles are not the end of your story, just as my cross was not the end of mine.

Why I Did Not Ask Why

I did not ask “Why?” because I knew my Father’s heart. His love is perfect, His wisdom infinite. Every step of my life—every rejection, every lash, every nail—was part of His plan to save you. I trusted that even the darkest moments held purpose, leading to the glory of the resurrection.

My child, I ask you to trust as I did. The question “Why?” often leads to doubt, but trust leads to peace. As I said, “In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Your trials are not random; they are opportunities to grow in faith, to draw closer to me, and to shine my light in a hurting world.

How to Trust Through Your Troubles

When you face tough times, come to me. Here are ways to walk with me through your trials, as I walked with my Father:

  • Pray with Honesty: In Gethsemane, I poured out my anguish to my Father. Tell me your fears, your pain, your questions. I listen, and I hold you close.
  • Offer Your Suffering: Unite your pain to my cross. Say, “Jesus, I offer this for love of you and for souls.” Your suffering becomes a gift, helping others, as mine did.
  • Trust My Father’s Plan: Even when you don’t understand, whisper, “Father, your will be done.” Trust that I am working all things for good (Romans 8:28).
  • Look to the Resurrection: My cross led to Easter morning. Your trials, too, will lead to new life—perhaps in this world, certainly in the next.

I Am With You Always

My child, you are never alone in your troubles. I felt the weight of human suffering, and I carry yours now. When you ask, “Why me?” hear me say, “I felt it too, but I trusted—and I am here to help you trust.” Every tear you shed, I catch. Every step you take, I walk beside you. Your tragedies are not the end, but a path to deeper love, stronger faith, and eternal joy.

So, take my hand. Do not ask “Why?” but “How can I love you, Jesus, through this?” Together, we will turn your troubles into triumphs, your pain into praise. And one day, in heaven, you will see the beauty of the tapestry I have woven with your life. Until then, trust me. I felt it too—and I will never leave you.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
