He said” There was a time when we responded to the Lord’s call, and with enthusiasm and generosity offered our lives to Him. Together with consolations, we have had our share of disappointments and frustrations… the ardour of our prayer cools and we are not always immune to spiritual dryness.”
In response to this invitation TAPPING (Season I): Retreat for Consecrated Persons’ offers an opportunity to reflect and renew one’s consecration to the Lord. It is a six-day online retreat (with an inner healing session) on the Power and beauty of belonging to God alone. All talks are based on the Scripture with a special focus on the meaning and the beauty of consecration. Tapping season one retreat commenced in April 2021 facilitating eight retreats that enabled many to rekindle and deepen their relationship with God. Day 1 (Session 2): Stand up, take up your mat and walk (John 5: 8). We reflect together on the reasons for our failures despite repeated attempts.
Day 2 (Session 1): Praying for souls in purgatory.
Day 2 (Session 2): Jonah a Model of Recommitment. We reflect together on how we can keep our fervour for the Lord alive and how to regain it if we have lost it along the way.

Day 3 (Session 1): Gifts, fruits and Charisms of the Holy Spirit.
Day 3 (Session 2): Journey of Abraham towards Total Obedience

Day 4 (Session 2): The Power and beauty of consecrated life. We Reflect on the life of Joshua and prophet Samuel to get a glimpse into the power that is in store for consecrated persons when they live their consecration meaningfully.

Someone asked me,”Fr I have a question that I thought you could answer. Do you know a good way to pray when it’s hard to feel God’s love for you? Sometimes I feel like praying but I don’t get from where to begin? I have struggled with this all my life, pretty much, and I feel like it is holding me back in many ways.”

Through TAPPING SEASON 1 I was able to reflect on the beauty and the responsibilty of being called as a consecrated person. TAPPING experience is really so good for me personally. From the time I have learned this was of praying or have joined this group I find life different and many wonderful things happening within me.
1. I can say I really pray for a few people and feel God answers me so surprisingly.
2. I feel I have found spiritual friends to journey together as a group to live consecration to the full with one mind.
3. There is an eager longing for the evening adoration. I just feel the moment(words can express).
4. More enthusiasm in reading the word of God and am able to put it into practice better than before.
I always like to be quiet in prayer time. I simply enjoy being alone with the Lord. I do not know it’s selfishness or idleness or laziness or holiness. But my longing for God increases, though never being satisfied.
I like the way you break the word of God.

God has His mysterious ways of reaching out to the one who cry out to him helplessly. Yes., He reached out to me through the tapping season 1. Attending the talks of FR. Jerry and reflecting on them I could feel the depth of God’s love for me. His mercy is abounding. He never wants anyone of us to be lost. He comes in search of us. Wonderful are His ways!!!! Specially us Consecrated people whom he has called out of love for a purpose. Attending the retreat I sincerely feel how God was waiting to draw me back to Him. I am having a beautiful experience that none of the earthly things or persons can give.It is a experience of prodigal son running back to the father and enjoying that depth of love in His loving

I believe it is God’s grace that helps me to experience His love and the beauty of belonging to Him. Through TAPPING I am experiencing God in a very powerful way in my life. After attending the retreat I feel liberated and I believe it is the power of God that works in me, and the word of God that cleanses me. God has His own way of leading those who are dispose to His grace. He makes use of our brokenness and make it into something beautiful for His glory. Praise, honour and glory to a God of love, a God of miracles.
The well chosen topics help me to look back to the day when I pronounce my Yes to God and recommit my life to the one who calls me.

Joining the Tapping retreat session 1 invites me to always believe in the power and love of God in this life journey. “Get up, take your mat and walk”. It is an invitation in the Gospels that inspires to rise up and fight against all that is not pleasing to Him, an invitation to be confident in making a decision and walking with Him with confidence. An invitation to leave the old world to the new world, leave the past that was not good and live in God’s love, new life. Hopefully, through the Tapping service, more and more people will be closer to God, the giver of life, and especially those who pursue a consecrated life will be more faithful and diligent in treading God’s path to live a holy life.

I love you Lord Jesus. The Lord loves those who hate evil and He guards the souls of His Saints and He frees them from the hands of the wicked (Psalm 97: 10). During the first session itself I was touched by the Lord with a question How does a soul is been drawn close to the Lord and by the Lord . The Word of God gave me an answer to my question.

My spiritual journey the TAPPING RETREAT that I underwent under the guidance of Fr. Jerry VM was completely taken up by God alone. These 6 days were most grace filled days of my life. During these days I had the experience of very deep sense of God’s presence. Prob: 4: 23: keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the spring of life. I truly felt God’s life flowing into my life.
I feel spiritually awakened. Jer: 29: 13 you will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. Because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Rom: 55. And today these God’s words that are spirit and full of life Jhon:6:63 has been fulfilled into my life too.
Now I feel I am filled with God’s unceasing holy presence which has deeply compelled me to serve Him more generously, follow Him more closely and love Him more intimately.
Thank you so much Fr. Jerry VM SDB for all your dedication, time and energy that you have invested to help me find myself worthy and holy before God as a consecrated person.

Tapping Season 1 invites us to get up, take up our mat and walk by leaving behind that mat which doesn’t allow us to stand up and walk. When we walk there is source of strength that we attain for our community life,prayer life and consecrated life. Thirst for reading the Word of God is the coming home and joyful living of the Consecrated Life.

TAPPING,when I saw the link, I did not know what it was;but in the process of me attending the retreat, I was excited to know its meaning and effectiveness in my life,which I experience now.Praise the Lord. 🙏
I have attended many retreats including- on Consecrated Life;but this very retreat,’Power and Beauty of Consecrated Life’ is something very different because of its practicality. I gained new enthusiasm, joy,vigor etc. and practical tips to live my Consecrated Life in and with the Word of God.Glory be to God.🙏
The Word of God has gone deep into me spreading to all the parts of my being,when I was listening to the first talk by Fr.Jerry on St.John ch.5.Stand up, Pick up the mat,Walk-these 3 key words touched my life and the Holy Spirit did the work in me and I was looking forward to the next session.
The following day’s first session by Fr.Glen on praying for souls in purgatory really encouraged me. Then came the session by Fr.Jerry on prophet Jonah ch.1,2&3 .It was another eye opener for me and I began making efforts to stay on-not run away when faced with the hard realities of life.Thanks be to God.🙏
The spiritual renewal in me progressed with the third day’s session on Charisms ,Fruits and Gifts of the Holy Spirit and the main session on the call of Abraham Gen.ch.12-20. The promises of God to us are more than the demands; was indeed encouraging and enlightening. And the power of the Word of God did wonders.Praise the Lord.🙏
On the fifth day,Fr.Jerry’s sessions were excellent. The exciting session on Spiritual Fencing enabled me to strengthen certain areas of the fence and the beautiful healing session in the evening.😇
The last day’s first session by Sr.Concy really boosted my spirit especially when she said; We give reverence to Jesus in the Tabernacle,what happens to me when I receive Holy Communion? What about the Jesus who dwells in me and in others? She stressed on the need for consistence,responsibility, disposition, faithfulness, conscious awareness etc. Certainly a way to community living. Thanks be to God.👏
Thus came the final session by Fr.Jerry; a very affecting one :-the reasons why soul failed in his ministry-how we can avoid such elements in our life.1Samuel ch.9.🙂

This retreat gave me a very strong realisation and conviction that one can live a holy life and be a channel of grace for others with the power of the Word of God and His grace in spite of the surroundings. Even if one is in the midst of unholy people and others may block,hinder,pull down; a consecrated person who really cling on to God and His Word can always live a true consecrated – holy life.😀

This retreat was really a unique experience for me.
I had a great desire to attend this retreat and I was so blessed to get this opportunity.
During these six days of spiritual retreat I could experience the grace of God flowing in my life and they are uncountable. This experience gave me new awareness of God’s presence in every moment especially while repeating the word of God.
The Tapping session was really a moving experience for me. I can share everything what was happening during that hour but I believe that it was the grace of God that lead me to that tangible experience.
The retreat helped me to move to a kind of recollection. The mood of being silent and being alone helped me to develop the habit of reciting the word of God. Perhaps this retreat helped me to refocus on my walk with Jesus and to fall in love with Him more deeply.
I felt the spiritual assistants of the Gaurdian Angels , the Saints and the souls in purgatory as it was explained well during the first day of our retreat.
Moreover this retreat led me to a deep desire to work on my spiritual life through Fencing, Tapping and reading the Word of God.
Lastly it made me more aware of the fact that how deep is the love of God for me and He called me to be with Him and to be sent out.
Thank you so much dear Fr. Jerry and the team for your deep insights. It’s was very inspiring, informative and also stimulated my faith to the extent where I am closer to Jesus. It has made a big difference in my life.

These six days of Tapping retreat were a the grace- filled days where l could journey to recommit myself as a consecrated person. The talks and reflections were very enriching and inspiring. It was very practical and the sharing of life experiences of the preachers helped me to introspect my life. I was taken up by the way the Scriptures were interpreted and each word was like thought provoking for me. Through this retreat I also realized the spiritual assistance of guardian angel in my life as well as the saints. I felt the need to pray for the souls in purgatory. Above all it has created a thirst for the Word of God in my life.
Thanks a lot to Fr. Jerry and the team for this great initiative, and their generosity in helping consecrated persons to nourish their spiritual life through TAPPING. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide them in their work of God.
